Since the 1960s, at the service of those who love the sea!

Since 2017, LVM has been synonymous with the union between the Lorenzoni family and VM Motori! Our engines are divided into 2 series: ML704 – 2800cc and ML706 – 4200cc.

All engines feature gear distribution, cooled turbo, and BOSCH common rail injection system. The engines are certified RCD2, IMO Tier II, and MED SOLAS.

Innovative and reliable inboard engines.

Since 1961, shipyard Lorenzoni has worked with VM Motori in the servicing and sale of industrial marine engines, automotive engines and spare parts. In 2016, the Livorno-based shipyard doubled its relationship with VM, purchasing semi-finished engines and transforming them into LVM-brand inboard engines. This helps to reduce emissions and make the engines compliant with specifications in the RCD2 regulation, effective since 2017. This approval is required to obtain CE certification for
all pleasure boats.

Engines from our LVM shipyard are reliable and designed for more demanding use. In fact, they are particularly suitable for both sporting and semi-professional pleasure use on boats subject to many hours on the water per year. Thanks to their reliability, the VM and LVM engines are found on both Fratelli Aprea and Sciallino boats, as well as on Guardia di Finanza patrol boats and Venice water taxis.

ML engines for every type of application.

Thanks to the collaboration with VM, Lorenzoni has developed the marine engines ML 704 and ML 706 in its Livorno shipyard, which accentuate the construction characteristics that differentiate the company from almost all other manufacturers in the power range from 150 to 350 hp.

Compared to the previous MR marine engines, the new products are less polluting and more efficient: gear distribution and the cooled turbine are synonymous with great reliability.

Watercraft research and development.

With our state-of-the-art machinery and a qualified staff always up-to-date on the latest news, Cantiere Navale Lorenzoni has always been a cutting-edge centre. The High Revolution project was created in the 1980s, involving the development of industrial marine engines designed to reach high speeds (from 3800 to 4200 rpm). These motors maintained the tunnel engine construction to ensure greater robustness and reliability for all types of use.

Taking the HR engine through continuous improvements, the MD series with electronic injection management was created, followed by the BOSCH common rail injection MR series in 2007.
In agreement with VM, Cantiere Navale Lorenzoni has decided to work on engines in the MR704 and MR706 series and update
them to meet emissions standards. This is how the ML704 engines from 150 to 225 HP and the ML 706 engines from 270 to 350 HP came to be.
